Leading by example.


Sometimes we show our children what we'd like them to do. Sometimes we tell them. Then we might remind them. (oh and sometimes we just shout at them).  

 What works here, works there. What we try with children might be what we try with colleagues, employees, team.

Finding the right mix of showing, telling and reminding is the route to effective behaviour change. 

First we show people want we want. Sometimes we tell them. And we always need to remind them.

And if that doesn't work, it's because they're probably copying what we're really doing. In which case, just shout.
