Where Do Your Ideas Come From?

If we take inspiration from the same places as everywhere else, what we do, make, produce, deliver will look and feel like everyone else.

Some variety and incongruity is how you attract audiences, a market.

Look to the periphery too. Often the brightest and new ideas are percolating at the edges. Its not what your biggest, brightest and most dominant competitors are doing. They’re all copying each other, just doing it louder than everyone else. Look to the people, to the companies, operating just below your obvious sight lines. Look to the people operating in other areas.

Let the diverse opinions inform your plan, your strategy.
