If You Want A Different Outcome, Change The Inputs.
We tend to see what we want to see.
The positive story, the good meeting the hopeful future happening.
Being hopeful is good. It’s really important. But its also a distraction.
If we want a different output, we need to change the inputs. You don’t need to be Einstein to know that doing the same thing over and over whilst expecting a different outcome is madness. Oh, except you do (need to be Einstein, that is).
Just because we’ve always done it that way, doesn’t mean we should continue to.
And maybe the thing we’ve always done is the thing which is causing the problem, even if it looks good on the surface.
