What Are We Really Saying?

Sometimes the words we say are the important bit of a conversation.

More often it’s what we’re not saying.

We love sending signals. Signals which tell a story of who we are, of how important we are - or aren’t!. Signals saying ‘like me!”, “listen to me!”, “notice me”, “I am good”, “I am good for the tribe”.

“I Make Good Mate”.

We’re doing this while we’re having coffee, in a sales pitch, in the performance review and, definitely, in a Monday morning sales meeting.
